‘Boyhood’ gana Mejor Película en los Globos de Oro; Iñárritu se lleva el Mejor Guión

Richard Linklater fue el gran ganador en los Globos de Oro de este año. Ganó los premios a Mejor Película-Drama y Mejor Director por Boyhood (2014) , que no arrasó pero se llevó tres de los premios más importantes de la noche: los ya mencionados y Mejor Actriz de Reparto para Patricia Arquette. Nada mal y quizás una probada de lo que podría pasar en la noche del Oscar. Ya veremos.

Por otro lado, Birdman (2014) triunfó a medias con el premio a Mejor Guión, que se llevó el director Alejandro González Iñárritu junto con Alexander Dinerlaris, Nicolas Giacobone y Armando Bo. Además, como se esperaba, Michael Keaton se alzó con el premio a Mejor Actor-Comedia/Musical. En su discurso de aceptación, Keaton agradeció especialmente a González Iñárritu y dijo que ninguno de los actores presentes se negaría a trabajar con él.

El premio al Mejor Actor-Drama se lo llevó el joven británico Eddie Redmayne, que interpretó al famoso físico Stephen Hawking en la película La teoría del todo (The Theory of Everything, 2014), sobre las vicisitudes de Hawking y su esposa al lidiar con la esclerosis lateral amiotrófica que lo mantiene en una silla de ruedas y sin poder hablar por su cuenta. A Hollywood le gusta la superación personal, así que no había pierde.

Julianne Moore, que participaba en dos categorías, ganó como Mejor Actriz-Drama, por su trabajo en Still Alice, mientras que Amy Adams la venció en la categoría de Mejor Actriz-Comedia/Musical, gracias a su trabajo en la nueva película de Tim Burton, Big Eyes, que cuenta la historia de la artista Margaret Keane y su esposo, Walter, interpretado por Christoph Waltz, que firmaba las pinturas de ella como propias.

Fue una noche con sorpresas interesantes, como el triunfo de Wes Anderson y su Gran Hotel Budapest (The Grand Budapest Hotel, 2014) en la categoría de Mejor Película-Comedia/Musical, y abundante en alusiones al ataque a la publicación satírica Charlie Hebdo. George Clooney, que recibió el Premio Cecil B. DeMille, hizo un emotivo discurso donde aseguró que “no caminaremos con miedo”, para luego hacer un romántico homenaje a su esposa, Amal. Helen Mirren, Kathy Bates y Jared Leto también se manifestaron al respecto.
